We develop image analysis tools that help scientists work with peta-scale microscopy images. Our WEBKNOSSOS platform is a leading tool for sharing and collaborating on image data of that scale. For automated processing and for programmatically accessing data in WEBKNOSSOS, we develop open-source Python libraries and internal tooling. We need your help to design+implement the next library features, refactor existing code paths and develop solutions based on the libraries.

What You Will Do

    Expand and develop new features for the open-source webknossos-libs and Voxelytics

    Develop custom solutions by dogfooding our libraries

    Design, own and deploy solutions for working with petabyte-sized image datasets

    Work with a high degree of freedom and self-organisation in a tech-savvy team

    Build tools for customers from neurosciences and support biomedical research

About You

    You know Python

    You like to design software libraries that are used by other developers

    You like to think about code abstractions that are efficient and maintainable

    You take pride in teaching and leading from team mates, and enjoy constructive peer review in a respectful environment

    You have proficiency with Git, GitHub, and agile software development

    You know how to clearly structure solutions in code

    You have strong oral and written language skills in German and English

Our machine-learning applications and web-based data annotation tools help scientists push their cutting-edge neuroscience research and focus on the Biology rather then on the tech.WEBKNOSSOS is an open-source web-platform for viewing, annotation, and sharing peta-scale 3D microscopy datasets for biomedical research.
Our team primarily consists of software engineers and hard, techy problems inspire our work. As a small team, everybody is included in the decision making and can build on the support of their peers.
